It has literally been a month since we’ve been stuck in the house, and with nothing really to do to occupy our time…. a lot of us are turning to some type of internet source . With us not being able to go out, a lot of us have opted in to shopping online. Shopping on line can have its perks but, in order to get the best experience there are a few tips you must follow to make your online shopping experience a success. 1. RESEARCH
Take time out and discover the items you want to purchase online. Figure out the best place you want to get it, the price you want to pay, which store has the best price out there, is your item worth getting, etc… Researching at the beginning of your buying process can save you a huge hassle in the long run.
2. CHECK COMPANY REVIEWS
Reviews help you get the real deal on products you want to purchase online. Reviewers tend to give their honest opinions on if the products are worth purchasing or simply DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Be sure to use google, yelp, and a companies website to scroll through reviews and make sure your getting what you want.
3.PROTECT YOURSELF
With the recent pandemic going on, the internet has drawn the attention of millions and billions of viewers. Scammers are at a all time high and its important that you protect yourself and all of your information. Protecting yourself online means not putting your card information on a lot of these open websites but, instead make sure there is a way to track everything you do. Using Paypal or any other protective method of payment can help to decrease fraudulent activity.
4.CHECK SIZING CHARTS
Not all companies sizes are the same. When shopping online be sure to check measurements if your buying clothing items. Not only will checking measurements help you with fit but, check those reviews as well. Most reviewers will tell you if an items is true to size, size up, or size down. This will help to avoid the hassle of having to send items back after you’ve received them.
5.RETURN POLICY
Be sure to check the return policy when shopping online. The return policy will give you the amount of days you have before you can no longer return an item. Some companies will not give back the full refund and others only have an exchange policy set in place. So, make sure what your getting is up to the standard you would like it to be.
6. DISCOUNT CODES/SAVINGS
Before hitting checkout on your online orders be sure to see if there are any discount or savings you can get with your purchase. If there is a will there is a way. Who doesn’t like saving money? Finding discounts comes when you start to do your research for products. Typically, for myself I go to google and type in the name of the item and a list of stores will come up that carry that product. Many times the prices vary and you can choose from there. Many companies also highlight savings and discount codes on the home page of their website and they can be easily applied at checkout.
7.SIGN UP FOR EMAILS
Signing up for emails can help with discount/savings codes as well. Most companies will offer you the ability to sign up as soon as you click into their site and give you an instant percentage off , right off the bat if it’s your first time shopping with them. Also, after signing up companies send out emails weekly of the deals they have going on. I encourage you to sign up for emails. It most definitely has its perks and helps to save you money in the long run.
