#LOS ANGELES,CA- part 1

Weekend (July13 – July 16, 2017)

Guys I went to LA for the first time and by myself too!

So, as you can tell from this blog I enjoy fashion and have been attending fashion events for the last yr and a half. My goal was to not only start a blog and eventually get into styling but to actually gain knowledge on what I was doing. I did my research and found lots of fashion events, shows, schools and programs who offered fashion oriented things. In my search I came across Simply LA I think on multiple social media platforms and heard they were doing a huge fashion AND beauty conference. REWIND… last year for my birthday I was planning to go to LA for the first time to celebrate with some of my family and friends. Long story short things didn’t go well and we were unable to go but, I knew that LA was one of the places I wanted to go in my lifetime. So, I kept seeing ads for this conference and decided I wanted to take a leap and get empowered to start doing what I had been dreaming and that’s blogging and having a fashion based business. As we all know LA is not a hop, jump, and a skip. I live in Maryland(5hours away by flight) and I needed flight, hotel, and a ticket for the conference. I started looking a few months in advance checking everyday. I had a little bit of money saved but I knew I didn’t want to pay 250 for registration, more than 150 for hotel, and no more than 300 for flight. At the time flights were 200-300 each way and hotels were extremely high as well. My desire was to go but I didn’t want to pay that amount of money. I remember saying to myself god if this is meant to be everything will fail into place and prices will fall if not I won’t go. By me simply making that declaration I knew it was up to God. Just like that it began to fall in line, 2 weeks before the conference I found a deal on the Hilton hotel right next to the airport well under $150 so I quickly snagged the room, So, good I got a place to stay but no flight or ticket to the actual conference. Crazy right I know. I continued to speak within myself if its meant to be the rest will fail in line. A few days later I check flights the way going to LA price fell in half under $200 so I snagged it still no way coming back or even a ticket to the conference. A few days later I check on another airline and was able to find another deal and snagged it. So, at this point hotel and flight are booked no ticket. I checked the Simply LA site and found out they were going to have a fourth of July sale mind you I was scheduled to fly out on the 13th. Long story short I was able to snag the ticket for $98 instead of $250. I knew it was meant to be and packed up two days before and was on a 5 hour flight to LA by myself for the first time. Talk about spare of the moment my family didn’t even know I was going it happened so fast!! Sometimes its good to step out and move I remember sitting at the airport waiting for my flight like OMG I cant believe I’m going to LA (HUGE SMILE)……..

So, here’s a few pictures of how my trip went. I was on a late Thursday night flight until early Friday morning, I slept a few hours at the airport, caught a shuttle to the hotel, took a nap, showered got ready and did what went to the mall to find a top to complete my look for the conference, but of course I picked up a few other things, Next stop heard a lot about this IN-AND OUT BURGER place so I went, enjoyed my evening and the rest is in the books..
